Walid receives award from ACLU

Yesterday, 12/14/06, the Michigan branch of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) presented awards to four people for their committment to the Bill of Rights in regards to the successful lawsuit against the National Security Agency's warrantless wiretapping program.

Awardees of the 2006 Bernard Gottfried Award are:
Noel Saleh - President of ACCESS
Nabih Ayad - Board member of ADC-MI
William Swor - Attorney
Dawud Walid - CAIR-MI Executive Director

Oral arguments will be heard in regards to the government's appeal of the decision beginning on 1/31/07 in Cincinatti, Ohio.
